Welcome to jdcoker.com, the direct bookstore of author J.D. Coker, operated by IA Publishing Inc. (Durham, North Carolina, USA). By using this site or purchasing from it, you agree to these terms.

What you're buying

Ebooks: your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to read the book on your own devices. My ebooks are DRM-free because I trust my readers — that trust means you agree not to copy, share, resell, publish, upload, or distribute the files, or feed them to AI training systems. Buy the book, read it anywhere you like, keep it forever. Just don't hand out copies.

Print books: yours in the ordinary way — read it, shelve it, lend it, gift it, use it to press flowers.

Intellectual property

Everything on this site — books, cover art, text, images, the Shaper Saga universe and all its characters, names, and lore — belongs to J.D. Coker / IA Publishing Inc. and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing here transfers any ownership of that material to you beyond the license described above.

Pricing and orders

All prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. I do my best to keep the store accurate, but if a listing contains an obvious error (a typo'd price, a wrong description), I reserve the right to cancel and refund affected orders. I may refuse or limit orders at my discretion — for example, suspected resellers of digital files.

Delivery partners

Digital delivery is handled by BookFunnel; print fulfillment by my print-on-demand partner; payments by Shopify's checkout and its payment processors. Their services have their own terms, and I'm not responsible for outages on their end — though I'll always help you get what you paid for.

Limitation of liability

This is a bookstore. To the fullest extent permitted by law, IA Publishing Inc.'s total liability for any claim related to this site or its products is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question. The site and products are provided "as is" without warranties beyond those that can't be disclaimed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

I may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change when I do. Continued use of the store after changes means you accept them.
